FAQs

WHAT DOES POLARISED MEAN?

Polarised sunglass lenses reduce light glare and eye strain. Because of this, they improve your vision and safety in the sun.

HOW DO POLARISED LENSES WORK?

Polarised lenses have a special chemical applied to them to filter light.

The chemical’s molecules are lined up specifically to block some of the light from passing through the lens.

On polarised sunglasses, the filter creates vertical openings for light.

As a result of this filtering, the image you see with polarised lenses is slightly darker than usual.

However, objects look crisper and clearer, and details are easier to see.

WHEN SHOULD I USE POLARISED SUNGLASSES?

FISHING: Cuts the glare, and helps you to see into the water.

BOATING: You can see below the surface of the water better, and it reduces eyestrain.

AT THE BEACH: Reduces the reflected glare from the water and the sand.

GOLFING: Reduces glare on fairways, and golf balls in water hazards are easier to spot.
